Jerrod is a native Nebraskan who was born in Grant and raised in Oshkosh, Nebraska, where his family still resides.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997.  During this time he was a Regents Scholar and received the Certificate of Superior Scholarship and Academic Honors.  In 2003, Jerrod received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with an emphasis on business transactions.

Jerrod has been a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association since 2003.  Before joining Blazek & Associates in 2009, he began his legal career as an associate with McQuillan & McQuillan, P.C. in Ogallala, Nebraska.  In his time there he specialized in various areas of the law, including a particular emphasis on Estate Planning and Probate.  Jerrod is a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.  Given his upbringing in a rural community, Jerrod has a special interest in assisting farm and ranch families with their planning goals. 

He is also a member and former officer of the Elks lodge, through which he was involved in education and events benefitting children, as well as programs recognizing and remembering our veterans.  Jerrod and his wife, Kendra, have two children.  They enjoy spending time with family and are active within their church.  He also enjoys Husker football, golf and hunting.
