Stephen P. Schmidt

Steve is a Nebraska native and lived in Omaha from 1982 through 1991 while pursuing undergraduate and law degrees.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in History and Philosophy and a second major in Biblical Studies from Grace University in 1988.  He graduated cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 1991. 

Steve joined the firm of Blazek & Associates, P.C. L.L.O., in April 2004. He has been assisting clients with their estate planning needs for over twelve years and has been a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association since September 25, 1991.  Steve spent over eleven years as a trust officer with Wells Fargo in Iowa working with revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, life insurance trusts, conservatorships, IRAs and investment management agencies. As a board member and investment chair of the Community Foundation of Fort Dodge and North Central Iowa for several years and as a charter member and program chair of the Quad City Planned Giving Council, Steve has directed specific attention to planned giving and charitable estate planning.  He has talked to various civic groups on effective charitable giving. 

Steve and his wife, Faye, have four children.  Steve enjoys playing outdoor sports with his family such as biking, basketball, tennis and hiking.
